Im a fan of saving as much original sheet metal as possible.. That's what I've done on my 69 442 as well. I did very similar repairs on mine.
Interesting you showed none of the forming of the most important piece, the patch panel, that you welded to the existing rear quarter panel.
I have one, it a 1971 Oldsmobile 442 w30.
