Nashell Jones says:

Thanks!!! It worked for me but had to take it apart twice didn’t put enough paper and it helps if you clean it too…

James Sheng says:

Thanks for the video. I just fixed my driver side window. My turned out to be the rocker metal piece and the contact was black from old grease and dirty.

After trying different things for hours I came back to your video and did everything step by step and It worked thank you so muich and God Bless You. Tomorrow is Christmas and I was just so down about my window being down in this 14 degrees weather. Thank you so much!

Brian Dawson says:

Excellent!! Im guessing that the switch unit may be a common one used on many Chevy vehicles..
Im glad this worked for you 🙂

This also worked on my 03 monte carlo. Thanks for the great video.

Brian Dawson says:

Im glad I was able to help a little. Im glad you had the confidence to give it a try 🙂

Goddessofwar09 says:

oh yeah i had to bend the metal a little more too so it would get a good contact.. after pulling it apart about 5 times to make sure it was 100% good..

Goddessofwar09 says:

Thank you SOOO much for this video!!!! mine wasn’t the little plastic pieces it actually had a bunch of gunk under the metal pieces so the metal wasn’t getting a good contact! cleaned that out and boom driver side is now working! I have to make sure the wires were not messed up by checking the continuity first though cause it could be more then just this in my montana minivan.

OMG!!! I called the Chevy parts department and to replace my switch was 100.00, and then I watched this video and it worked… YOUR AWESOME! This worked for my 2005 Chevy Malibu LS. Same type of switch and same problem, window would go down but wouldn’t come up! Thanks!!!

461thomas says:

Man you saved me tons of cash! My daughter’s 960 Volvo driver’s window would not go up. The good folks as Volvo would charge me more than the car’s worth to fix it so, after your video, I dove in. The internal switch was different than your video. It used two springs, riding on two small bearings, contacting a copper plate. Under the plate were the contact which were full of crud. I cleaned them off, removed the oxidation and all is well. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Brian Dawson says:

Hi there. Im not sure.. but before you spend a ton of cash its worth a try pull the part out yourself and give it a try. The worst thing that can happen is you break an already broken part LOL 🙂

Brian Dawson says:

So glad it worked out for you!! Post your own video sometime after youve fixed something 🙂 Add to the Youtube Library! 🙂

ICEYMONTAGES says:

Can it work for all cars? like a nissan sentra?

DIENAMICProductions says:

actually it was really easy. i slided a MOIST (allmost dry) paper towel under the button and it works just fine

Brian Dawson says:

Yes, take the switch apart and try to understand the mechanics. It may be a simple fix like mine. If its not a simple fix then you may need to buy a new part. At least if you tear it apart you will learn int he process. make your own video while doing it, teach the rest of us :)

Brian Dawson says:

Yeah! Im glad it worked out for you! 🙂

Brian Dawson says:

Excellent! Im so glad it worked out for you. It takes a little work..and, sure, there is a chance that it might not work, but it worked out well this time and saved you some cash 🙂

DarrenSinnott1 says:

HEY HEY!

Thank you for posting this video. I had my car at the garage for some other work and was told it was 250 for the replacement switches. It took me 30 mins max and a little piece of paper to do it with your video.

Thanks again.

Erika M says:

Dude, You just save me some Cash!!! I did this in 30 mins and now my window is working, My Hero!!!
