Ford 9 Inch Rear Gets Prepped for Install! – 1987 Olds 442: Video 22

I do my last modifications to the Ford 9 inch before installing the rear suspension. I cut and double flare my brake lines, and weld on the brake hose and line hold down tabs.

Great video! You have a good camera, and everything looks crystal clear and focused at all times. Keep up the good work.

What company you bought the rear end from?

Very nice job, as always! A couple of questions:1)What are you planning on doing with the bump stops? Weld in new or from the other rear end?2) Are you aware of the interference issue with the caliper and Gbody frame?I have an '87 Monte SS that I LS swapped and has a 9" from Quick Performance. On a particularly pronounced dip in the road, the frame smacked the banjo bolt and actually began to bleed out brake fluid. I think the nipple on the caliper is also bent. I think other guys that have done the swap say they bolted the calipers in the 9 o'clock position to avoid interference. I hope this helps.

Looks good man! Gonna use some of your tips and tricks on my 84 Buick Grand National. Essentially going to be doing the same stuff

Really enjoying this build and excited to see another upload. That flare tool is pretty sweet and makes me want one to put stainless lines on my truck.
