lower temp thermostat will not make an engine run cooler , the 160 opens at
160 , if it heats up past that it will just stay open and a stat that just
stays open lets the water flow to fast to be cooled in the radiator , you
want it to open and close to cool the best , an olds engine also runs the
best at 195-200 too btw , also get a water neck from an 80’s 307 , that
will give you another port for the temp sender …
if you delete that temp sender , I will buy it !
lol @ the semi Whip. that antenna that was there was actually a half
antenna off of one that used to do both CB and AMFM radio , had one just
like that (only longer) on that 85 Custom van that i had. heck man it won’t
take much of anything to get the interior back to the original and then it
will be show quality thee trick with RTV is you have to let it set up a bit
before you start slamming the parts back together, need to have all your
wires loomed up so that they don’t melt and short out
