Nissan Sentra: Cooling Fan Replacement

Nissan Sentra: Cooling Fan Replacement

In this video I swap out the electric fan cooling fan in a 2013 Nissan Sentra that started to make some loud clicking noises. I wanted to get it replaced before it crapped out completely. -Enjoy!

I have Asian Blue in my Subaru Forester and the Dealer is telling me that it's good for 100,000 miles?
What do you think about that? And is it better than the Pink Dexcool?

It’s is troubling to see so much removable plastic before you do the repair. Nice job.

Just replaced the blue water on the Hondew with 195k. Replaced the fan motors about 175k. One of the fan motors had died about 150k but I didn't notice until the second went out. Similar maddening process but a but easier than the Nissan. Napper had the best price on blue antifreeze. Napper didnt have enough qts of the zerex blue so the substituted the more expensive German blue coolant. Napper did me proud.

Keith on the GAP says:

what a mess tearing that thing out

James Nasto says:

What does all that plastic trim and clips do but get in the way of an otherwise easy repair.

Let me tell you a story – I was originally a big fan and a long time subscriber of EricTheCarGuy. He won me over the fact that he was a regular mechanic showing ordinary people like me how to fix stuff around the car. Now he is a youtuber that makes videos of what he thinks people want to see (I have no doubt that a decent part of his viewers are enjoying these types of videos). Having said that, the original intent of the channel is now gone. I cannot relate to the videos, since I am not building a hotrod or installing a lift kit to my dad's truck, therefore I unsubscribed.
Now I moved on to South Main Auto with Eric O. and let me tell you… here on this channel I feel the original buzz, that had me started with EricTheCarGuy's channel. The only difference is that Eric O. is still a mechanic that fixes car for a living plus the added bonus of explaining his repairs to the audience in a pretty relatable way.
My opinion has absolutely no intent in sparking a debate about which channel is better or if Eric is better than Eric as mechanic.

good thing you caught the radiator fan failure before it got really bad and blew the 40amp fuse causing an overheat. used to replace these left and right at the dealer, still doing these in the replacements in the fleet maintenance biz sadly
