Just see if you have more than a 100 miles on the nissan and then assume you got a bad transmission!!! Went through three of those crappy CVT's in under 80k miles on my Altima.

Bad cvt will show symptom not this way tho, this shudder is on service bulletin, system is integrated with brake system to prevent stalling, torque converter lock.
