I’m at the step of pulling off the part to get to the timing belt and I have it all set up correctly but everything I start to turn my wrench to pull it off it turns and I can’t stop it with then unaligned the dots what do I do

Rick Rodriguez says:

Same for 2004 pathfinder? 3500 V6?

JLemley1960 says:

While I'm already here, just a recommendation… 01) replace the thermostat, 02) replace the bypass hose (from the engine to the water outlet, just behind the timing belt cover backing plate), 03) cam and crank seals (you're already here, just a couple of extra steps). BTW, if you ask, you can generally find "all-in-one" kits the contain the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump, and will usually shave a bit from the overall cost of the individual components.

KSD says:

Thanks man. This helps a lot.

Would this procedure work on my 99 Pathfinder

Cameraworks Ltd. says:

Is it necessary to remove the crank pulley and timing belt to just replace the water pump? Can i skip that step?

Jeffrey B says:

Great video! I'm curious why you didn't put RTV all around that gasket?! The Nissan manual says to put RTV on that…so I'm wondering how it won't leak if you don't put RTV all around gasket…

VIGILANCIA PERMANENTE says:

Excellent video, congratulations, I'm going to change the water pump to my vehicle, with this difficult explanation that I miss … Thank you
