Is there a way to diagnose the fuel pump electrically? The car cranks but no start. Not sure if it's the fuel pump or something else causing the problem.

My car stalls with half gas tank can fuel pump be the problem

I installed a used fuel pump but my issue now is the fuel gauge reads the incorrect amount of gas in the tank. Even after putting more gas in the tank, the needle still reads less than the amount applied.
