Gaskets help seal joints between components in places where you don’t want air, or fluids leaking out of that seal. Rubber or silicone gaskets may dry out or harden over time, reducing their effectiveness. This video shows you how to install an oil cooler gasket in your 2007-12 Nissan Altima

I did this today. When I put everything back together and ran my car, the temperature gauge was bouncing up and down. Maybe I didn't put enough in my radiator. I didn't top it off

May I ask , líquid at hose is just few ? Or should we replace more than a lt?

workharddieproud says:

Great video. I just replaced that gasket for a friend on his 2009 Altima 2.5, I did not drain the oil or coolant. Lost about half cup of oil and about half gallon of coolant. It’s easier IF you can jack up the car and turn the wheel to the left to get the passenger side rotor out of the way for more room. Plus, I found it easier to unbolt it first, that way you can move the part around to get to the spring hose clamps easier. I also replaced those clamps with regular hose clamps that I could tighten up with a ratchet. Replacing that gasket fixed his oil leak. Thanks for making this video !!
