I had changed both of my batteries for my fob I have a 2015 Altima S and I done that. But the buttons on the key won't work, only the side door buttons work when i get next to them, plus the car does turn on, can anyone tell me why the buttons dont work with a new battery change. Thanks
Thank you! I also put my battery in upside down and had to take it apart again. Note: i have a sentra and it says behind the battery what size you need (2025 here).
My wife has had a Murano for about 4 years with 2 separate key fobs. This whole time I thought the fob didn't work because I bought a new battery for it 4 years ago and it didn't work. I pried it open today and realized I have the 2025 battery inside instead of 2032. Looks like she has 2 key fobs that look identical on the outside but are different on the inside. One takes 2032 and one takes 2025. I read online that the 2025 should still work, it's just thinner, but I don't think it's making a connection. Ordered the 2032 battery online so hopefully that one works. By the way, the battery type is imprinted on the inside of the key fob and it also says which side to put face up or down.

key fob does not have the side divots.. must be newer model. 2015
the parts where he cant put the key back into the fob
fyi people; my 2015 nissan sentra fob uses a 2025 battery… not all fobs are equal,even if from same manufacture!
