Did you need to pull the power steering pump too? The book says you do, but I didn't see that in your video.

foosblood24 says:

What size are the nuts for the gears?

geepriest says:

What issues you had with the car that indicated the head gasket needed replacing, did you have trouble starting, was it smoking, did you have any issues starting again after turning off for 10-20 minutes?

Deron Johnson says:

This is no job for an amateur. Watching this video and trying to just “go for it” will not work. You have be advised. Atleast have professional guidance if you wanna do it yourself. Video doesn’t show aligning and testing values, timing the engine etc. those are skill tasks , not something you can do again if you mess it up

Steven Peachey says:

Did U damage/bend the valves removing the sprockets with the chain off?If not U r very lucky.Sketchy.Didn't mention checking the block and head for straightness and the head for softness and getting it pressure tested for cracking,as the head and block is aluminium and as u didn't actually didn't find and problem just guessed.Hmmmm.

Winnert says:

good video, i had some questions about why you have it machined. and if you're just replacing the gasket, how could you have determined if the head had an issue itself. would you see physical cracks? anything you can tell me about the process of machining the head would be appreciated. also from a video standpoint, i would say maybe a quick blurb about all the tools you used or will use would be useful. overall show some confidence bud you're killing it

Yaz Lariat says:

Good video! I recommend zip tying the timing chain to the timing cover bracket after marking it.

2 Time Garza says:

Darren McNeilly says:
