Just another quick video showing the replacement of the front brake pads on a 2012 Nissan Altima. This will be the same or similar for other years as well.
Just a quick note on this one, I had originally missed the retainer clip that needs to go into the loop at the top of the pad and had to take them back off to do it right.
The little metal loop on the pad is also the brake squealer or noisemaker when it scratches the brake pad, but by putting the small metal tab into the loop, it also acts as a pad return and keeps the brake pads from dragging on the rotor.
Tools needed:
14mm socket and/or wrench
large flathead screwdriver/small prybar
Or
Large C-Clamp or Caliper Compression tool used in the video
