normal engine operating temp gets up to 1200-1300 degrees.
Noticed my anti-seize has a 1800 Celsius rating. I assume this is enough to be used for spark plugs, any idea how hot the engine head actually gets?
With those miles them may be a little stubborn to remove. The heat shouldn’t matter, you may want to do this with the engine cold so that you don’t get burned on any hot parts. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
MY spark plugs have been in my car for 210k, through the titanium spark plugs for my 07 Sentra need to be replaced every 165l, would that be a concern though? Never done a spark plug job and don’t want to break a spark plug off. Also does it matter at what temperature the engine block is when removing the spark plugs?
An easy tip I like to use is after inserting the new plug, slowly hand turn counter-clockwise until you feel almost a click; this helps line up the threads before hand tightening clockwise, then finishing with a wrench. Never cross threaded a plug with this little trick. Great video!
Great video
Thanks for watching. Have a great day. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I little anti-seize will help to prevent them from becoming frozen in that spark plug hole. You do need a ton just a little coating on the threads will be fine.
Because of the aluminum head should you put some anti-seize on the plug threads?
first time changing spark plugs on my Nissan 05′, its my first car & this video came in handy! Thank You 1aauto.
around every 30,000-40,000 you may want to inspect them.
How many miles should spark plugs be changed?
very helpful, thanks
The process should be fairly similar. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I have a 2007, is it the same process?
