How to Install Nissan Altima 2.5 Spark Plugs DIY

Changing your spark plugs seems super easy to those who are experienced DIY mechanics, but it can be a great first step for a beginner. The difficulty of this maintenance is very dependent on the vehicle you drive and how crowded your engine bay is. For this Altima (and my E39 BMW), it was as easy as it gets; my 350Z in stock form had a lot in the way.

The steps I go through here on this QR25DE apply to almost any spark plug change and can be accomplished in a very short amount of time assuming they are easily accessible. You could also do a compression test while you have the spark plugs out which I will cover in a future video.

ngk are oem plug .. 10.00 ea. ..at nissan dealer the gap is 0.044 .. the book said to use oem plug # QR25DE … alway replace spark plug with recommended ones….
the NGK # 94702 Laser Iridium for sadan .. bady code L33 …2.5 are recommended by ngk company… ROCKAUTO.COM sale them for 16.33 ea. .. but .. Never downgrade to single platinum spark plugs or copper spark plugs. However, you can upgrade to an iridium/platinum combination plug. NGK spark plugs traditionally leave the factory pre-gapped…. any way check the Gap as it may have shifted during transportation (not all spark plugs are packaged in a way that protects the firing end.. A narrow gap may give too small and weak a spark to effectively ignite the fuel-air mixture, while a gap that is too wide might prevent a spark from firing at all. hope info. help your reader …c-ya … call me … frank
