This video helped me so much bro! Just put my hitch on my 08 Xterra. Took me literally 1hr 55 because of this video( but I also painted my bumper when I took it off) Thanks!

Kegan Cook says:

Thanks for the video. I was trying to install mine a completely different way and it wasn’t working, leading me to believe that the manufacturer sent me the wrong hitch.

Joseph Galvan says:

Thanks for the video! Great explanation

Cody Hall says:

What kind of service would instal this?

foghorn leghorn says:

You have buy the relay kit that plugs into the harness at pass. Side kick panel
Wont have any lights

Dog Face Soldier says:

Hey Ry, I just installed the same kit on my 2015 Xterra, your video was invaluable, so thank you!!! Did not need to take off the bumper or drop the exhaust. My wife and I just laid on our backs on some cardboard and maneuvered it into place. I had no rust underneath, but used PB Blaster on the bolts anyway. It took longer to deal with the spare tire and torque everything down. We finished in about 2 hours. Thanks again man!

Live2Shred says:

I didn't remove my bumper when I installed my trailer hitch, however I ended up having to use a crowbar and pry the mounting brackets on the trailer hitch inward a little bit to get it inside the bumper brackets. also, the trailer hitch kit that I bought came with the extension cable for the rear but it didn't come with the relays for the front, that you need for the turn signals. I ended up buying a separate kit for about $35 on Amazon, they had the rear extension and the relays for the front I also bought some black split loom tubing, along with clips, to put the rear wiring in, mostly for cosmetic purposes, but also to protect the wiring.

RumzDizzle says:

M12 and M14 bolts are needed? Is there a length spec or are they all the same length?

czredhead says:

I really appreciate your videos. Your camera work and explanations are superb. Thank you.

Dog Face Soldier says:

Dude your videos are the best

outdoor guinea71 says:

So can you take off the bumper without taking off the sidesteps and plastic?

Edwin Velazquez says:

RY guy, thanks for the video, dude please give exact specs on the bolts please, I bought a used hitch but it didn’t come with the bolts.

Norman Bfifteen says:

Where did you install the receptacle that receives the trailers electrical plug in?

Chino Horse says:

This is very amazing… Thanks for all you Xterra Videos

Edward Voluntad says:

George Speedy says:

Good video I was able to install the hitch without taking the bumper off but I installed the relay harness and the pigtail and I still don’t have trailer lights any ideas other than the obvious checking fuses and relays??
