I changed my fob batter, but now every time I get into the car I have to hold it up to the start button bc it says Key ID Incorrect. And the outside door handle lock doesn't work any more where you press the button once to unlock the car. How do I reset it or re-pair it to the way it was before I changed the key fob battery?

Cheap my ass that shit cost me over $100 last time to replace and I had a warranty discount and it died two months after I got my car now a year later the battery is dead again and I’m just wondering if anyone else has this problem where the key fob keeps dying or is dying to fast. I’m not trying to keep coming outta pocket over $100 just to unlock my car lol

I have a 2014 Nissan Altima… so when I go to get into the car (unlocking the car door) 50% of the time the car doesn’t register making me have to take the litteral key out to unlock the car as well as 50% of the time as you displayed in this video but the thing is I’ve replaced the battery for the key fob and it’s still doing this

I have this after replacing the battery. I can start the car by keeping key next to the start-stop button. But doors don’t lock/unlock with the key. Also can’t start the car when the key is my pocket. It says “incorrect key” How can I make it work like it was before?

Every time I get "Key ID Incorrect" , I band the key fob on the steering wheel and it works. Already broken 2 keys.
EASY FIX :: File a CLASS ACTION Lawsuit against Nissan.

If the fob starts your car but does not open doors, it is the same thing to fix that. Open your door and hold the fob up to the start button for a few seconds until the car tells you to hit the brake. Then it will function properly again. You may need to do that anytime you change the battery too.
