In case you need to replace your fuel injectors: this is a good time to do so.

In case your spark wires rips off on you–long reach pliers— these tools will help a lot (didn’t happen in this swap but did in another Montero Sport):

Mr_Sub2000 says:

Bruh, you went in too far to not do valve cover & spark plug gaskets. Decent vid tho.

Justice Kei says:

When need to replace a new set of spark plug in any Mitsubishi Triton car ? Cuz i need to understand how to know KM,Years and engine functions. Sorry newbie here

Luke Morter says:

I can't believe all the stuff that has to come off to do a simple maintenance project. Was fairly easy. I got all the bolts mixed up sadly so tomorrow I get to try to figure out what bolts go where. That's gonna be the tricky part.

henry cordova says:

Nice! Thankyou

Manish Chavan says:

Really helpful video with step by step instructions. I am wondering if doing the valve cover gaskets, does the throttle body need to be removed too or can it stay with intake when removing the intake ? If detached from intake, one doesn't need to remove the coolant lines attached to throttle body. One less work to worry about with old hoses.

Abedalqader Al Zeghari says:

Hey bro my 2002 montero sport is consuming a lot of oil and I have a P0300 code. A mechanic said the oil is burnt in the cylinders and causing the spark plugs to misfire. He said I need to rebuild the engine. I see smoke coming out and no oil under the car when parked. What do you recommend?

Ocean Pacific says:

I also have oil on my spark plugs when I change them ,how do I solve this problem to stop the oil ? Thanks

Dark Roast says:

Been looking for a good spark plug and wire replacement video for the Montero! Awesome video dude! Subbed!

Randy Gunn says:

Did a fine job,but on that first valve cover I myself probably would've changed the valve gasket and three Print gaskets just because of the amount of oil down the top cyl.s holes ,so much work to to twice!.great job ,great vid.

remigio de dios jr says:

Are theses good engine reliable? Daily driver and high miles

craig cluck says:

Hey I just did my 01 3.5 plugs.and there was 1 on each side that were pretty oil covered.is there something I can do for that.jw

Andres Rojas Barrantes says:

Hey thanks for the video bro, it's really hard to find these kind of videos for monteros, and I have to do that soon, but quick question, I have a small leak of oil on the passenger side of the car, looking from the floor the highest point where I can see oil coming from its near the header gasket, so I was thinking maybe it's dripping from the valve cover gasket, but it's not that covered in oil, so I'm not sure if I shouldn change it while I'm doing the sparks and wires, what do you think?

filiberto alvarenga says:

I have the same truck the v6 bi color green and grey 1999 original from japan I am from argentina. just in case don t have more videos of service like this of this truck

filiberto alvarenga says:

thanks bro is very useful your video

Joshua Wilburn says:

Best video yet to guide me through this repair. It is hard to find Montero Sport videos more so ones as thorough. Thank u.

happy camper says:

I am very grateful for this video, but given all the work to reach them, I think he should have fixed the oil leaks while he was in there. Now I'll probably do the same damn thing.

happy camper says:

Yes. I have to thank you too. Gotta wonder about the sadistic nature of some auto company engineers. I could almost understand it if plug replacement was scheduled for 80000 mi. But to have this rodeo about every other year or so…the bastards.

Joel Isaac says:

Just curious if you did that much work to get to the spark plugs why not do the seals and the valve cover gasket

Carlos Ford says:

Is that the 3.0L or 3.5L V6 engine you were working on?
