In this video, I will show you how to check and replace the cigarette lighter fuse for the outlet in your car (also known as a 12V Auxiliary Power Outlet). This particular vehicle is a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse and has two 12v power outlets, both running off the same fuse. Replacing this fuse should fix both outlets. It’s so simple and will save you money by doing it yourself. Use this same concept for replacing any of the other fuses in your vehicle.

I know this video is a year old, but I have an 03 eclipse. The port in the center arm rest works but not the one by the radio. I need both working. My fuse is fine. Does anyone know what replacement port to buy, or if it could just be a bad wire? I don't want to rip my center console apart without an idea.
Wow… I thought this video was going to show me how to FIX my lighter outlet. Not how to change the fuse to the lighter outlet. There went 3 minutes and 19 seconds of my life I will never get back.

Special thanks to you: I have a Mitsubish eclipse 2008. This model has two fuse boxes.
The one for the power outlet is located above the hood opener( red plastic). Close to the location you show. Does not have the cigarrete picture in the diagram but a plug drawing.
You saved me big bucks that the dealer was trying to charge only for the diagnosis.
