We’ll show you how to replace the prop seals in your Mercury outboard in this video from Boats.net. The output seals for a Mercury Tracker 25 outboard come as part of a kit. For many people, replacing all of the seals at once is a good idea. We’ll start with the lower unit already removed from the motor, and if you need to see how to remove the lower unit on your Mercury Tracker, it’s here: https://youtu.be/kpP4L403mVU

We’ll open up the prop shaft carrier using a Mercury carrier tool, and then we’ll replace the seals and reassemble the lower unit.

See this diagram for a better look at the lower unit and prop shaft seals: https://www.boats.net/catalog/mercury/outboard-by-year/mercury-outboard/2001/25HP/1025312yn/gear-housing-propeller-shaft-2-25-1-gear-ratio?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=card_BDN
