We’ll show you how to replace the prop seals in your Mercury outboard in this video from Boats.net. The output seals for a Mercury Tracker 25 outboard come as part of a kit. For many people, replacing all of the seals at once is a good idea. We’ll open up the prop shaft carrier using a Mercury carrier tool, and then we’ll replace the seals and reassemble the lower unit.

I have a 2002 Mercury 25hp EH serial number OT413277. Will this seal kit fit this motor?
Would the need for a carrier tool be applicable for a 1986 Mercury 6hp?
