This is something I recommend doing on any old oil injected 2 stroke that has even the slightest issue with the oil injection system, rather than fix it and find other issues just remove it and mix the fuel. Rippin a hydrostream with dock flyby at the end.

Many thanks. So hard to find info on this motor thanks to someone making a 150cc weed wacker called "black max"
Genuine question. Can I just leave the oil injection shaft and cap everything off or do I absolutely need the delete kit.
Concise and to the point!! Great informative video. Hard to find now days people adding bs to make the video longer.
Could you in theory just plug the small tank openings, keep some oil in it and just remove the big tank and plug everything else and then not mess with any of the wiring? Of course still remove pump and install block off etc.
Soon as I turn my key on, I hear a faint beep that will not stop. And it won't fire?
Is this the same process for a 1998 mercury 200hp efi?
Just about to do this to my 135 v6 black max recently ordered the kit and it says for 2.0 2.4 2.5 v6 models. I’m a bit sceptical about fitting now as you say they’re different?
Hola buenas tardes, yo tengo un problema con mi Mercury 90cv 2tiempos 1998, e limpiado carburadores cambiado bujías i nada no me pasa de 3mil rpm, estaba pescando i de repente al querer irme empezó el problema.
I have a '93 Merc 175 EFI, I just bought it and did a quick compression test prior to purchase. I got 90 psi on all cylinders but I forgot to open the throttle at all, and I didn't add any oil to the cylinders. Didn't disable the fuel injectors; is that necessary? Motor was only warm enough to open thermostat, it takes 2.5 minutes to start spitting out water. Was in a hurry due to the seller not having much time. Do you think the actual compression is higher and do you have an estimate on how much higher from your experience? Thankfully all cylinders were equal. I plan to test it again, just curious in the meantime. Motor seems to run great.
subbed, nice video. I was able to correct the delete by the previous owner, cheers!
Also the low oil alarm, you just leave that open?
Did you block off the fuel pump out port? On my 91 that is the main line to feed carbs fuel?
Great info, Which are the lubrication lines that crucial and not to be mistaken for bleed lines? I’m having trouble knowing what Bleed lines that need to be capped after the oil pump delete. Thanks in advance! I have a 1998 Mercury 150 xr6 2 stroke
