Fred Kilbry says:

Fromaway27—I also have a 2007 Mariner that it appears the spring has sprung on the regulator…only repair is to replace the motor & regulator together.

Can you tell me about which replacement unit I should be looking for? I am looking around for parts now.

Thank you very much!

Fromaway27 says:

Your videos save my life. I have a 2007 Mariner. When I removed the right rear window assy – I saw the wire cable had frayed and it was knotted in several places and would not move more than a few inches. A replacement unit was different – it had studs in the 3 locations where there were bolts before – otherwise it went in exactly as you showed. Thank you !

i purchased a new driverside rear window regulator and i can’t get the bolts to line up it seems the cable is too short. Is there a trick to getting it to line up?

1aauto says:

The concept on how to replace the regulator is the same between the two years but the bolts and how everything mounts to the vehicle are different.

Curtis Rice says:

my son has a 08 escape. the rear window is stuck down. it will go down but when he tries to get it to go back up it will not move. if he pulls up on the window and pushes the button he can move it up a little, but then it stops half way up.

is the fix on the 08 the same as the 07?

Just purchased from your site! Thanks for the excellent video!

cmozingo says:

That worked perfectly. Thanks!

1aauto says:

If you are replacing the entire regulator, you can cut the wire and allow the window to drop down to remove the two bolts.

cmozingo says:

My window is stuck in up position and it isn’t possible to lower it manually to remove the 2 bolts. Any suggestions?

1aauto says:

We’ll keep this in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future.

1aauto says:

You may want to take a look at the wire harness between both doors to see if there’s a broken or frayed wire in one of them causing this type of an issue. If there isn’t you may want to test the switches to see if they’re working properly. Hope this helps you out.

LesnarPwns says:

If the switch on my Corolla works intermitently on on the passengers side to roll down the window but needs to messed with for 5 minutes or more to go up, would you say that this an issue with the switch or the motor? It also doesn’t work properly from the drivers side control panel. Thanks
