get a cheap 17mm offset box spanner and cut the box end in half – it makes
it a crescent, jam it on the metal bit of the wire and lever it against the
valve cover to pop them out, MB tool is the same concept its a 17mm open
ended spanner with offset.

Thanks, the door switch is confirmed good. Soo the the overhead switch may
be bad OR there is a bad control module hiding somewhere. Thanks for the
advice. Best, Tony

Ok, thanx for sharing! Im planning a trip to Fl. and I want to have my coup
in tiptop shape. I can’t find a Chiltons or Hayes repair manual for my clk.
Any help u can offer for the clk320, PLEASE post. Any info on the BSR, ASR
lights comin’ on. I changed the brake switch and nothing. Also I need to
replace # twobank two o2 sensor. Any info would b appreciated.

OMG, what a job that is! Sure glad my SL320 has the venerable old school
straight six in it. Now I just have to figure out why my automatic dome
lights don’t come on. Best, Anton
