Mercedes E63 AMG Front Airmatic Strut Replacement DIY (Mercedes W211 E55, W219 CLS55, W219 CLS63)

Mercedes E63 AMG Front Airmatic Strut Replacement DIY (Mercedes W211 E55, W219 CLS55, W219 CLS63)

►Mercedes’ Airmatic air suspension system has been the class of the field for several decades. However, that doesn’t save them from the same faults any strut and spring have. The E63 AMG’s sport-tuned struts will wear over time and eventually need replacement after around 100,000 miles of use. When they fail, you’ll receive error messages on the dashboard, and the vehicle won’t ride like it used to.

Replacing the E63 AMG’s Airmatic strut is more involved than a strut with a steel string, but the basic steps are the same.

Ricks Cars says:

So. The car is brought down? Does the compressor automatically add air to the strut before it is brought down? Did you have to start the engine while it was up in the lift? Were the struts filled with air before installation? I’m confused. Sorry

Mr. Angeles says:

Yes!!! Engine mounts! Or some oxygen sensors

FuckOuttaHere says:

Can you do engine mounts next
