Wow! I never thought you have to replace those. Thank you!

That looks like my old car. That is such a great color. Exactly what I had.

i wish my w123 240D’s doors would shut as nicely, the back ones are ok but
they are still sluggish and need some force but sound good while closing
the front ones on the other hand needs more force and sound terrible in
comparison. i have had the doors of the car while repainting and fixing
rust, but can’t see any bigger differences from before. i also replaced a
door seal which is catching on the rear door for some reason.

Hi Kent, Love your videos. I have an 87 300E with 124K. You said if there
is a grinding noise then it is a whole other problem. What might this be?
Thanks

I love the thunk the rear door makes when he closes it, sounds like a bank
vault door, it’s a sign of a well made car.

I replaced my front check strap with a w124 one since i cant find a w123
replacement. I simply bend the mounting place and it fits nicely. However,
the hold is much more loose than the original one. My driver side is still
using the original one and it holds much more tighter than the one I
replaced.
