Kyle Bascombe from FCP Euro is here to show you how to replace the Cooling fan on your Mercedes-Benz. This instructional video is applicable to all CLK and most C-Class models between 2003-2007.

Over time, the control module in your cooling fan can fail, causing your fan to either run itself too high or not at all. This could be potentially catastrophic, resulting in an overheated engine. If you catch your cooling fan acting up, be sure to replace it with a quality part as soon as possible to prevent further damage.

I understand that some Mercedes, once the fan is intalled, that you need a scanner to program the fan to communicate with the ECU… Then with the scanner you build up the fan speed, starting 10%, 20% and so forth, up to 70-80% … Is this true and does it need to be done to a 2005 Mercedes Clk320 2 Door Coupe ??? We have installed 2 fan modules and they still don't work and do not have the scanner to program the fan if necessary… Thank You,

I have a question. My son ripped my bumper off. I have a 2002 clk430 . When I went to add coolant apparently there is a hose disconnect from the radiator. Is must have ripped off also. Can you tell me where this lower tube fits to the radiator? I can’t visibly see it and I haven’t been able to put it on a rack as of yet. Can you reply to my email atomgmiller@gmail.com

You sir are a skilled mechanic, I have a 2005 SLK55 AMG and I want to replaced the serpentine belt, tensioner and idler pulley, there doesn't seem to be a lot of good information on the entire process but when I look in the engine bay the clearance is very slight, it looks like removing the fan assembly is a must to get to it without tearing up your hands and arms. Can you give me any pointers? Thanks for the excellent video.

I have a 2005 E320CDI, and have to replace my fan. Will the CLK230 fan fit the E class car? They look the same.
