BE very carefull when u replace the right hood latch..if u crimp the line or the lock cable unhooks u will not be able to open the hood. Test he hood latch BEFORE U lock the hood.

Thanks for the post! Because of your video, I avoided having to spend $$$ on a new alternator for my wife's 2011 GLK350 4matic. I got it fixed for under $100 ($50 of which was next day shipping charge, so I could get her back on the road and not rent a car).
I was not able to remove the regulator with the alternator still bolted to the engine. Instead, I removed the serpentine belt, removed the 4 mount bolts and flipped the alternator on its side where I could access the rear cover and the regulator while it was resting on the front crossmember. I'm sure that there is a way to remove the alternator, but the radiator hoses and other engine accessories were presenting a challenge.
