That kid would be cutting grass for the rest of his days

@desert2012warrior says:

Kids nowadays don’t read. If they looked at the mobile phone as much as they do nowadays, they’d see where fluids go.

@gaga437 says:

How much was it? About 10grand?

@stray5454 says:

Blaming their son for something stupid they did themselves out of embarrassment

@doubled99218 says:

this story is almost unbelieveable but at the same time, i believe it lol

@horaciokanashiro-hv2zn says:

" Dad, Susy's dad want to see you".

Same kid few years later.

@Junior-g4f8g says:

I love my son…but nobody touches my vehicles except for me. This is the price you pay, literally, for being lazy.

@spitfirelast8761 says:

Well at least the internal got a wash. Atta boy.

@oxalic8003 says:

If the water gets in the cylinder, the cylinder block must be damaged before right?

@nopethatswrong79 says:

When you get home, you tell your son to pack up a stuff and get out of the house because he's no longer allowed to live with you

@br9760 says:

Dad was WACK for not teaching his son to read labels first.

@stefansamardzic2755 says:

Wait who paid for the new engine?

@programaticLearning says:

That's more on the parents to trust your kid to do something they apparently haven't done before.

@markw4318 says:

Poor kid. I'll bet he didnt do it intentionally.
Way back in the 80s my friends little brother filled up his mommy's car with water. Luckily we saw it and they towed it to drain the gas tank before it was started.
We were 10 the "pit crew" guy was 5.

@ShaggyDynamite-4160v says:

If you're under forty years of age you have no business going around machinery. Go play with your X-Box and bring your pop a beer. They're in the refrigerator. That's the big black box with two doors next to the stove. That's the smaller black box with a single door, it makes your sketti o's hot. Oh never mind. Daddy should've worn a condom.

@benardrotich4515 says:

Why did you turn the engine over?

@Scott-sx1bf says:

If this ever happens to you, DON’T do what these guys did by trying to crank the engine with the plugs out. Take the plugs out & then turn engine over slowly by hand with a breaker bar on the crank pulley. The reason the water sprayed all over the place when they cranked the starter is because it was under very high pressure. The plug holes are too small to evacuate the cylinder that quickly & you’ll just cause more damage.

@RyanMathews-ld7hi says:

Not just kids do this. Drunk step fathers as well put water in the FUCKIN ENGINE.

@larulrich7417 says:

Former service advisor here. Had a customer call and say his wife's cars cruise control is stuck on and constantly accelerating. She drove it home on the phone with 911 standing on the brakes as it tried to accelerate. When she got home the brakes were on fire with a fire truck behind her ready to put them out. He had the vehicle towed in and called over the phone. I went out to the car after we got off the phone and looked inside. They purchased cheap walmart "cut to fit" floor mats, never cut them, threw them in, and over time they had been pushed up onto the gas pedal. After repacing pads, rotors, calipers, fluid, and brake lines, he paid about 4k and I just had to tell him "This sucks but the main thing is that you will have many cars in your lifetime but your wife is safe. Dont buy floor mats that cant be secured in the future. This will be a great story to tell over dinner one day and youll laugh, even if today isnt that day." He was very cool about it.

@DKLGalactus5 says:

LOL my wife did that but luckily I had a volvo 240 drained the oil/water 4 time no problem.

@blankblank8468 says:

Teach your son how to do it a minimum of 3 times then allow him to do it . Terrible mistake on the pops part , youngster I’m sure he feels bad

@rj8954 says:

It is absolutely mind-boggling to think that it’s legal to import cars from year 2000….

@Cat-That-Jams says:

Honestly, I looked inside my mom’s car when my dad was working on it, and I saw the SO obviously labeled fluid inputs on her Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I was like, “there’s no way people actually accidentally put things in the wrong hole” and lo and behold, somehow people put washer fluid the VERY clearly not labeled with a washer symbol tank

@justcallmeshorty240 says:

While they talk about this, understand this is the reason why CAR DEALERS offer the services they do.
