Thanks for the compliment. I am not positive about the changes in motors from 2003 to 2007, but it can’t be that much different. I would say that once you lift the dust cover, everything will look pretty similar.

It sounds like the plastic cover might have melted, or fused to the engine, you might check an auto salvage yard for a replacement cover. But, in the end, consult your owners manual, or even the people at Mercedes… sometimes they might actually offer sage advice for your DIY project.

I purchased the plugs off the internet. They were cheaper. But any auto parts store should also have them in stock.
