Really wanted to thank you for the video- This was a lot easier than I was
thinking I was getting into with the sensors on the pads and all- Took all
the stress out of the job. An excellent video that I thank you kindly for
making for us who opt to do our own work! Many thanks!!!!

i have a kind of dumb question, i sprayed the caliper red without taking it
off the rotor but i covered it good but now i want to take off the paint on
it, what chemical would be good to take the paint off? ill be taking off
the caliper this time.ty

santos hernandez says:

thank you sir that was great your step by step helped me a lot and I saved
a bunch of money thank you

BenzWerks says:

@mel609 hey there, if you use a flash light you can see the sensor
sometimes, but on c-class its usually only one side and its the rightside.
but it should only be one and sometimes one for the rear pads as well

BenzWerks says:

the bolt could have rust on it or be rounded out meaning the 12mm has to
forced one. it shouldnt be a different size but try a 13mm til u have one
that fits really

alexandra Esquivel says:

thanks 🙂

104609 says:

is this the same process for a 2001 Mercedes Benz ML 320?

Once again, thank you friends at BenzWerks.

pedro duenas says:

Guys, Is the process for 2003 E Class brakes the same ?

arana001 says:

The idiot mechanic I went to broke the bottom clip, the one shaped like a
wide U (anti rattle clip?). Do I need to replace it and if I don’t what
could happen?

BenzWerks says:

you should have to sensors, one front and rear. if there is a break in the
sensor it will set the light on. i would replace it and make sure the front
one is ok and not hitting anything.also make sure it says brake lining
visit workshop and not for something else

ppokuri25 says:

Do I have to bleed brake fluid and open cap on master reservoir before
changing front pads on 2006 C230?

jim martin says:

i have a 2004 c320, when appling the brakes, there is a sorta limping/not
really grabbing. i have herd (from friends, not about this tpye of car –
but other types) it could be the anti-lock breaks. what is your take on
this? do i need to change the rotors? if so how can i tell if i have the
sport model – for different kind of brakes, i think. thank you in advance

BenzWerks says:

BenzWerks says:

sounds good, that way you know whats involved with your vehicle and save
your money.

Redeemed says:

Thanks a lot. It required a 14 mm. I had to purchase it from Walmart. Your
video helped me a lot and made everything easier for me particularly where
we need a C-clamp to level the pads with the caliper. I have savedin this
DIY 178 dollars that mechanics had quoted for me.

Farah Watah says:

Hey guys what tools do i need to replace front wheel bearings on 02′ CLK320

Ali Jam says:

Bro thanks a shit load I’ve been able to save loads of money withy

BenzWerks says:

@rwhcrwhc hey there, if they are after market pads they are not as soft as
the oem ones. what i usually do is remove them and with a file i round the
edges of the pad because the ends of the pads will curl. as far as the
sensor? you dont need a new ones as long as you dont break it use a
screwdriver and pry it out.

Supercars226 says:

Awesome video, I have an SLK (2005) with ceramic brakes that constantly
SQUEAL when I brake, oh god the noise will make your ears drop off your
head. Any tips for trying to make the squeal to go away? The times i catch
it squeaking is: 1) when it’s cold (70 degrees Farenheit or below) 2)
Condensation on the brake 3) wet brakes. Any other mercedes SLK i’ve seen
on the road never squeak! is it just my luck? please reply, thanks
