Good morning,

Little tip, after your work, you should have left the box in the unlocked position. Then after having put it back on the steering column at this time you use the small holes made before to turn in and put the box back in position to lock on the steering column directly.

You did not explain how you reset the gear mechanism back to the correct lock position in the esl.

The motor can only be replaced if the old one still worked. Once the old motor seizes you cannot simply replace the motor. There is a component on the board that also goes when the motor seizes up. Beat option is an emulator
