few second sand after that nothing. can some body please help us

tchinn79 says:

I replaced mine. Easy but all the sudden on cold starts the engine revs up
and down for about 30 seconds and fine after that. Thoughts on why?

Michael D. says:

Thank you for saving me the money MB dealership wanted to take from me!

topbone says:

very helpful thanks a bunch!!!

howyalldooin says:

I got mine at performanceproducts4benz.

trigger5332 says:

Thank you so much for this video! I asked the dealer and they negotiated my
first born into the price! I did buy K&N air filters cause I herd those are
great. Then the mechanic said if I install them that it would ruin my
oxygen sensor. Is that true?

PC says:

Can’t see the metal clip! My metal clip may be lost. Can you advise what is
it?

PC Marcondes says:

Hey guys, I’m glad the video was helpful. Shad, thanks for the heads up on
the back clips.

NamMoADiDaPhatORG says:

Perfect timing. I just changed my Engine Air Filters today 2/15/2011 by
followed your video. Thanks very much. Actually I went to MB for Service B
maintenance and they inspected the entire car and recommended a few
replacement items such as light bulbs, engine air filters, cabin air
filter, tires, break flush, and alignment. So I followed the list and got
my head light bulbs replaced, my engine air filters replaced (your video),
and bought 2 front Michelin Primacy MXM4 225 front tires. Thanks!

PC Marcondes says:

Trigger, I’m not sure if that is true or not. In my case, everything turned
out OK. Also, take into consideration that some shops will tell you
anything for a chance to get money from you.

S Johnson says:

Thanks for the video it was really helpful! I did want to mention something
about how easy the filter cover came off for you. It only does that when
the back two clips are not locked in. You might want to make sure your
cover is secured to the throttle body. If the back clips don’t lock, you
don’t have a seal and dirt can bypass the filters. Thanks again!!!

dadangman says:

hey man, i was working on my c350, i notice u said there is a clip in the
back.?? i didn’t seem to have it on my car, or did i drop it somewhere?

NamMoADiDaPhatORG says:

Shad is right. If you don’t secure your cover with the throttle body, dirty
air could get in and the Engine Light will come on after less than 100
miles driven. If you get Engine Light on, bring it to AutoZone or Advance
Auto Parts to check for free. You will likely get these codes P2188 & P2190
(Mass Air Filter -MAF) failure. All you need to do is to reseat it
correctly and drive for about 100 miles. The Engine Light should go away by
then. I’ve just experienced this. Dealer wants $800+!

Keeth Y says:

yeah, girls can do anything really, unless they dont wanna get dirtay or it
needs muscle.. 😀 btw. i spent 24+ dollars on mine(both) and they wernt
original. can you tell me where you bought yours? or the brand.. ty.. PS
mine was so dam dirty when i cleaned it. i forgot when was the last time i
change them.

howyalldooin says:

Guys, you don’t have to have K&N filters for your Mercedes. The cotton
filters that go with it are washable, if thats the case. My other logic
here is Mercedes wouldn’t put a shitty filter in their cars if there was
another filters that would be more efficient. This is Mercedes we are
talking about, one of the best of the best car manufacturers. Logic tells
me that they are going to back their cars with quality parts and
accessories and K&N is for other vehicles. I dunno, thats just logic for me

dustybum says:

Thanks! The shop wants $100 for parts and labor.

myhouse888 says:

wow thank you, but under that it had 2 filter ?one on each side ??? thx

Alexis Rosado says:

@NamMoADiDaPhatORG same happened to my today. I put new filters and secure
it all, hope CEL goes away tomorrow.

skipperup says:

Dealer wanted 68 bucks for new filters plus installation! Thanks, 34 bucks
and 15 minutes and I’m done!

Darrell Moherman says:

I didn’t see anything. The clips were loosened, he picked it up, and then
reattached it. Is that whole piece a filter? I have a 2005 C230 and was
sent a round tube air filter. What did I miss?

PC Marcondes says:

Yes, two filters.

howyalldooin says:

Thanks for this..I watched this once, went outside and changed my air
filters and cabin air filters…Girls can do this easily and save a whole
lot of money. It was also cheaper to order these exact filters online at
performance parts than go to auto zone or advance. It calls for 2 filters
that come in the box together for a Mercedes. Advance has you ordering some
other brand that makes you buy 2 separate.Spent 39$ to get all the filters
from performance when Advance was going to charge me more.

dadangman says:

And another question, is the Back of cover suppose to be easy to move
around? i feel like i didn’t put it back together right, please let me
know.. thanks!

myhouse888 says:

how many filter under that, is that 2 filter i have to buy beside cabin one
so that is 3 total, is that correct . thx
