I bought one s430 02 and one morning the front of the car was very low , the dash said car to low stop car ,, but after i started the engine the car lifted up then never had problem with it , it hapen last month i was wondering if the cold of the winter may have cuz this ..

If the old style air pump hose is leaking, you will be able to hear it. You can activate the suspension air pump with the button on the dash, and then feel the air escaping from the air pump hose with your hand, (once youve removed the front bumper undercarriage cover, the pump is located under the right front headlamp).
The leaking hose was updated by Mercedes factory for a reason. And all the new pumps come with the new updated hose. Applying bando, bondo, bubblegum, etc, on the old hose is not a proper repair. If it were, all the new pumps would come the way you’re suggesting. and remember, “The bitterness of poor quality remains, after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”
it was not necessary to buy new hose, you could put some bando around the connections and no promlemo amigo.i did with my S430 the trunk pump(before made nose but would not open with remote or door)

I just replaced my pump last year in April. now I’m being told that my struts are leaking so my fuse blew. How can I find out if it’s the struts or just the hose. I’m sure the hose would be MUCH cheaper to replace. I’m trying hard not to get ripped off. Please advise.

HI MY CAR MERCEDES S 320 IS LINING ON THE LEFT SIDE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE AIRMATIC PUMP IS BAD MAY I NO IF THIS IS CORRECT AND WHY IS THE PUMP WORKING ON THE RIGHT SIDE ONLY IF THE PUMP IS BAD? THANKS

Think im having the same trouble, can you tell me where the fuse is located for the air pump ?
Symptoms: Car would not go up. Red airmatic warning light would come one. Airmatic pump 40amp fuse was blown. Pump would work once fuse was replaced and then blow its fuse quickly.
how did the bad pump affect th car? why did he relace it……symptoms?
