In this case, no. Wheel lugs are 17 mm, the drain plugs are 14 mm. I didn’t
buy the drain plug specifically for this job. It’s part of a kit of various
drain plug sockets that I’ve had for several years now. I like these
because they allow for the use of a ratchet and/or breaker bar a little
more easily.
Not physically possible given the space I have to work with. Believe me, if
that had been an option, that’s what I would have done.
More likely I’ll sell it.
Just pointing this out, maybe you shod have put the car off the driveway in
a parking spot so you can move other vehicles behind it out.
Is this going in the ’83 also or are you just keeping it as a spare?
Getting there. Still pulling apart the interior. Want to grab the wiper
linkage and motor, steering gearbox, some of the suspension, etc.
So are you done with the parts car yet?
Are your wheel lug studs the same size as the rear diff drain and fill
plug. Some vehicles can use a lug nut or stud as a tool to remove drain
plugs, just wondering? So sometimes, no need to buy a special tool.
