Extremely helpful. Thank you for doing this video. Here are some additional tips that may help others.

Remote Start Programming
1. Disconnect battery Negative first then install harness per video.
2. Hold reset button on module while attaching black power cable wait until module turns orange then release reset.
3. Press car Start/Stop button twice if good module will flash green and put key fob on module while programming.
4. Wait until module stops flashing then press car Start/Stop just ONCE and Programming is Complete.

To test press Lock 3x on remote.

To exit Remote Start
1. Unlock car
2. Step on brake for 3 seconds then drive.

Hope this makes it easier. Enjoy.

What's the range like? I keep reading complaints online that it doesn't reach far

Rein Heart says:

where can I find it pleas

Trevor Rupp says:

How far do you have to be before you can start your car. Normal range?

JBJ Honez says:

I recently installed one on my 2016 Mazda6 Sport and it intermittently doesn’t let me use all the “infotainment” options that I did before.

JBJ Honez says:

Just ordered one for my sons 2016 Mazda6. It should be here Monday.

Thank you for the video
It helps us a lot
Does the parking lights Illuminate when we use the remote starter to start the car to let the user knows that the Ignition is on and running? Sorta like a confirmation or feedback.

Moe x says:

Is this for auto trans only?

Luis Ayala says:

Could I start the car from a block away?

Sambit Sahoo says:

I plugged the three cables into the remote module and see the solid red LED light up . But when I push the car"s start button twice, the red blinks and I don't see green. Are we supposed to connect all the cables into the remote module? Am I missing something??

Dan Stackhouse says:

This video was SO helpful, thank you! There wasn't room for the module in the fuse area of my Mazda6, but I zip-tied it to a bundle of wires under the dash, and good to go. The only quirk so far is that once started the car doesn't want to unlock with the fob, you have to use the button on the door handle. Winter just got a little more manageable!

Dan Stackhouse says:

Great video, thank you! Ordered one from Amazon today. Quick question: How did you route the wiring into the fuse box area. Did you have to remove any additional trim? And did you zip tie the module to anything in there?

Silimarina says:

I presume this is only for automatic transmission. You wouldn't want to remote start a car with MT that is parked in 1st gear 🙂

Michael Bezoski says:

Great instructional video. Most appreciated. The problem I have is my Mazda is a 2013 Grand Touring Hatch. Guess I'll have to dig around for compatible unit. Again thank you.

Matt says:

Planning on installing this on my 2017 mazda6. Does the car shut off after you open your door?

worl boss says:

Great video

Mark Branderhorst says:

I just purchased the start-x starter for my 2014 cx-5 and with your video I'm hoping it goes smoothly. I'm also looking at the Carlink ASCL6 module to allow for remote start via smartphone. Have you thought about installing it? I would be great to see you do a video on incorporating that module.
