I haven’t worked on my brakes on the front of my C-X5 yet, what deference does it make if you have electric parking brake?

Tom Nguyen says:

Thomas Smith-Migneault says:

Wait if it does have electric park brake you Dont use the special collapse an twist tool? An push straight in with c clamp when in maintance mode? Im so confused man i need to do this now 2. Tomorow actually

Keith Sauer says:

do you need that special tool to compress? I have electronic parking brake in my 2016. I see your post about maintenance mode and compress straight. Can anything be used to compress? Dealer charged me over $600 to do the fronts (rotors, calipers, brake fluid flush, oil change and tire rotation). Back brakes are recommended but I'd like to save money and try this myself. I've done things like spark plugs, intakes, and other bolt ons.
