Good to know.

The answer was quick and easy to video. Any other questions that I can make
videos of for you bring ’em on. I enjoy the Q&A videos, they’re my favorite
to make honestly because I enjoy the interaction. Just don’t ask me
something like how to swap a subframe. The quick stuff is the most fun to
answer (less work).

I just love this plastic trim piece (that you don’t have) on my ’99 626.
It’s perfect to place tools, bolts etc. in there and I’ve never had
anything falling into the space below the latch. That said I am missing one
plastic fastener there and some are broken (previous owner residue…). I
got a few spares for replacements, but it kinda feels pointless until
enough of them break that it’s no longer held in place, so not replacing
right now 😉

DJDevon3 says:

Plastic fasteners shave weight on an already 1.5 ton vehicle. I often have
that gripe myself but I know if everything was nuts/bolts it would weigh so
much more. There are certain things that I wish were nuts/bolts yes this
being one of them. It would only take 4 bolts and 4 nuts to secure the
entire grille if redesigned efficiently. Someday I plan on doing exactly
that.

Why cant they use nuts and bolts lol
