My 2006 Mazda 3 Hatch has 196,700 miles on it and the clutch has just started slipping occasionally in 3rd and 4th gear. How much longer will the clutch last before it needs a replacement? Thanks!

Confused at the part before removing the bell housing, where you're disconnecting the shifting mechanism that's inserted into the transmission. I know the one with 2 screws on the plate can be removed but what about the other one? How do you remove that?
