I forgot to mention that my wheels and tires are aftermarket 16″ so the standard 15″ will provide more clearance to reach the bulbs in this project.

Unbelievable effort to change light bulb…I have been burning money on these lights on my 2010 mazda 6…I echo others why the HECK mazda made it so complicated for a bulb to change? I love the car but these things annoying and burning me…

Mike Mac says:

Put the bulb into the housing and secure it with the bracket first. Then hook up your power supply wires. I found this easier. Still, this should be brought to Mazda's attention the way the 6 eats headlights. Mine is a 2012 and I have replaced bulbs 3 times on each side!!!!! Still have original hi-beams.

Jake Muus says:

Started to unscrew the fasteners in the wheel well and discovered several of the cheap plastic things were stripped.

The Unisyn Garage says:

You got off lucky with those prices. I just had to change a xenon bulb on my 370Z and it was a whopping $100 for a single bulb at Autozone (ugh!). I had to remove my entire front fascia on the Z, then the headlight assembly, then another sub-assembly just to get to the bulb. What a pain. Nice video Jay. 😉

Ed B says:

Someone need to go to jail for making it so difficult to change a bulb

Frogboy says:

Thanks this is a life saver!
I have 5 2012 Mazda sixes sitting in my garage!
Each time a headlight broke I had to buy a new car.
This will save me a ton of money in the future!
