Joshua Beaumont says:

Not a good place to put the jack stands in miatas..

Juan Zayas says:

You can tell all that by looking at the thermostat?

Fungus Exterminator says:

I had an overheating with my 93 Miata. I took the thermostat out, removed
the spring with side cutters clipping the small brackets and trimming them
away, re installed the thermostat with just the hole for water pass
through. Heater still works fine, just takes a little longer to warm up. I
drilled out the holes in the bottom of the thermostat housing & replaced
the very tiny tubes with 1/4″ copper tubing (JB Welded in) and a
compression fitting tee. 4 years later and still running cool!
