Mishimoto.com says:

That is a possibility. In order to properly purge the system of air, you
need to turn your heater on, to cycle coolant through the heater core.
Otherwise you may have air bubbles trapped in your system, which could
cause overheating.

Jeezus Garcia says:

i think i need a new heater core my ac and heater didnt and still dont work
since i bought the car. but i have both

Nico Espulgar says:

alright thank!!

Mishimoto.com says:

No, your stock fans will work with our radiator! πŸ™‚

Nico Espulgar says:

do the stock radiator fans have to be modified to fit this product?

Mishimoto.com says:

As I stated, the install time also includes wiring up the fan shroud. It
also sounds like you have a lot of experience doing these, whereas someone
that has never done this install before might need a bit more time.

Mishimoto.com says:

Did you remove the heating system, or is there an issue with it?

Jeezus Garcia says:

What if my heater doesn’t work to begin with

Mishimoto.com says:

Hi Alex – The Fan Shroud Kit runs $265 on our website and you may be able
to find it at a lower cost through one of our vendors. I’ve included a link
to the product page in the description above. Thanks -Brian

Great info, thanks!

Gareth Huggins says:

I did exactly as he said… I began draining my radiator and then was going
to get some coolant while it was draining, only problem I needed my car to
go get the coolant! Felt real smart after that…

Awesome to hear πŸ™‚ -Julia

Alex Owen says:

how much would the radiator and fans cost? thanks

The1904kid says:

A couple ratchets

pimpjuice8921573 says:

Yum, I want this in my life.

Conner Hurshman says:

Maybe cuz it’s for a Miata not an rx-8

Abd Alh says:

Bad design for MAZDA RX-8 It doesn’t fit a lot of design mistakes. the
screw hols doesn’t match with OEM. the OEM brackets does not fit also if
you try to make them fit you will damage the radiator.

idontgivea quack says:

you said 1:30-2hrs work. but you did it less than 12mins.

Mishimoto.com says:

Haha, it happens to the best of us!

A L says:

I Have these fans on my MX-5 and they definitely keeps thing cool ; )

Mishimoto.com says:

The estimated installation time says 1 1/2 – 2 hours because of the wiring
required to install the fan shroud. If you are just doing the radiator, and
you know what you’re doing, then the install will be much faster. πŸ™‚

ildefonsoconra02 says:

Does replacing the radiator really take all that time?

jetten jetta says:

You have got to be kidding? I install these all the time in about 25
minutes. Four bolts one screw.

Dexter Chinn says:

excellent video. when i replaced the radiator on my 1990 miata, i found 2
ports on the bottom when i determined were for cooling transmission fluid.
this video must be for manual transmission, but still very helpful.

Mishimoto.com says:

The original bushings can be sourced from a Mazda dealership if they are
missing. If you need bolts for the shroud these can be purchased at a
hardware store or dealership as well. Thanks -Brian

xboxlive86 says:

What if you don’t have the og parts do you offer that

FuelDrivenSpeed says:

You should link the radiator in the description. Excellent video.

Mishimoto.com says:

No problem! glad this was helpful. -Brian

Castper says:

If they resprayed the whole car then why not the underside of the hood?

Mishimoto.com says:

That is correct. Glad the video was helpful still!

Shefster01 says:

Thank you. πŸ™‚

Mishimoto.com says:

Your wish has been granted! -Brian
