In this video we install roof rails and cross bars on a 2017 Mazda CX-5. This set came from Amazon and is nicer than expected. The whole job took about 30 minutes. This kit should fit all CX-5s through 2021.

Thanks for sharing. Just installed the racks this morning. Same ones from you link. Super easy install. The side mount bolts were a bit hard to tighten if you don’t have a ball type Allen wrench. Very happy!
Why not tighten side rails after you get cross rails in . Seems like it would make it easier to get cross rails on.

Is there a slight gap in between the rail and the roof of the car even after securing tightly?

Just out of curiosity, what is the approximate distance between the cross bars? Is it about the same as the OEM roof rack?
