I have a 2007 honda civic .When i have the heater blower on and i shut down the engine, the cooling fans wont shut off. If i shut off the blower motor before i shut down the engine cooling fans will shut off.

Sam Rugtiv says:

good job jim but let me ask you why don't you use air tools most of your videos are done with hand tools

mrNo says:

Didnt reproduce the error. Didnt test to confirm the thermostat was faulty… Sketchy repair. If the temp sensor was bad the customer is coming back.

wyattoneable says:

I just replaced the thermostat on my 1955 (1981 engine) and it was $12. Boy how things have changed. Nice work as always Jim.

wafrederick says:

Don't take it to the dealer, had a 2011 Focus in for this same code and the dealer wanted to charge this customer $600.00 to change the thermostat. There are two different versions of this thermostat, one with the sensor and without the sensor.

MikeP47 says:

This one must've been a redesign of some sort, my 07 Focus with the 2.0 Duratec, the thermostat is way behind the intake manifold and alternator behind the engine. What a job that one was.

super coupe says:

i keep forgetting that tip about the radiator cap, thanks for the refresher tip.

How many miles on this one Jim.

juvenal alvarez says:

exelent video. I have a question where you get it from the diagrams?

Ronald Cach says:

Hi Jim, what would be wrong if the radiator fans came on early, before engine was up to temperature? I have a 2006 ford ranger, 2.3 liter, manual transmission that has this problem. [I changed thermostat with a OEM] still fans come on early without the A/C on THANKS FRIEND
