Yan Lu says:

Anyone knows what happened to Scotty's new channel?

Matthew Schoepf says:

The Miller cycle engine sounds like a cheap rip off of the Toyota Atkinson cycle engine.

Chris Priestley says:

Skipped some milestones. 1989, the first MX5 and the roadster that started a revolution to inspire many other companies to build their own roadsters, whereas only 3 of the 7 others made to copy Mazda's success still exist and the rest failed.
Skyactiv should be places up there, both the G and X series. Where everyone else is throwing just turbos at their small engines, Mazda continues to improve natural aspiration.

Another piece of info gotten wrong is the Alabama plant and the join venture between Toyota. The plant is a parts manufacturing site aimed to release parts much more quickly and readily for American consumers given as it stands now, when you need parts for cars still in use but aged, it takes some time to get them due to lack of availability. It's also rumored this site will support restoration parts for the NA and NB MX5.
A few Toyota models since their release are actually Mazdas. The Prius, sadly enough, is a Mazda2. Their partnership has been longer standing than listed in this video.

Erasmo Longoria says:

So they're not going bankrupt

Gregory Yika says:

So at one point the secret service thought open top cars were a good idea for transporting the President.

Rahul Rane says:

Scotty, it's very intuitive to hear these histories from someone who has actually witnessed these timelines occur.
You are knowledgeable and witty. Wishing you a happy and fun future

Garrett Glass says:

Mazda is a very friendly company. I hope they soon are rewarded for that. I had a request I pitched to a lot of brands. The other guys either never responded or gave replies which read like I had wasted their time. Mazda treated me with dignity and there was no harshness. They understood that I understood my request was a long shot and didn’t leave me feeling scolded for my inquiry. Very positive experience for me. They were uniquely polite. Im not sensitive but I like when you can tell that the person you’re dealing with actually gives a care. The representative I dealt with left me with respect for Mazda.

Honk Honkler says:

I've loved my Mazdas. Never had one go for under 200k miles. I never bought the Ford based models though. The most underrated car company around at the moment, especially now that the Ford based models are out of the lineup.

James Moore says:

seem Mazda is a little "corky" (quirky)

AR S says:

In Japan Mazda is properly pronounced as MATSUDA. Just sharing how we should pronounce and give respect to a word especially a brand when it came from.

Always appreciate this kind of informative video Scotty, keep it up!

Scott Thomas says:

My RX-8 wasn't the most reliable, but it was the most fun.

deepfried says:

I like when scotty yells
Mazda wont bankrupt aswell

CARDIOMACHINE1 says:

Get the MX5 or 2.0 Mazda 3 with a stick shift and drive worry free for many years. Currently driving a 2017 3 hatchback manual and love it. Back in 2001 my 1995 Mazda MX6 literally saved my life when an old lady ran a red light in a Buick sedan, going fast In the rain. I was T -boned on my driver door and launched into a pole! The car was destroyed but I survived with minimal injuries:) That car was build solid.

Panos Charos says:

S K fan club of Greece.. excellent!

John Burns says:

Mazda had better give up on piston engines. EVs and hybrids, with rotary engine generators, are the way forward. Investing in technology that may not be with us in a few years is foolish.

rondogg50 says:

Hey Scotty I love your videos but I have one question on the Mazda video I just watched there's no mention of the 99 R and one of my other friends online and those things are Fantabulous vehicles they are a lot like the Lexus 3001988 Rear Wheel Dr. I'd like some more information on that if you be so inclined thank you sir for your consideration.

willcat says:

At :038 : A black IMPERIAL Parade Phaeton !!!

Alex A says:

Mazda needs an inline-6 engine in a rwd coupe car

Mr JSV says:

I had two 323's (1982 & 1990) and never new where the 323 name came from, until now 🙂

BOT Chad says:

Their early rotary engines were a disaster. Poorly engineered and it cost my dad's side of the family (heavy investors) a lot. I will never buy a Mazda on that alone. I hope they do go bankrupt.

madgaskin says:

What software is used for the animations?

Acoi says:

So bankrupt or not?

Enrique 5573 says:

He looks like John Lennon, or am I crazy

Count2Potato says:

I love that mazda is improving gas cars and not leaning into the electric fad. Im not sure where this endless supply of lithium is and how mining and disposing of depleted batteries is any better than oil? And oil is still used for all plastics and fuel for most stuff. The electric grid is too outdated to strain by adding cars to it. Hydrogen is the true blue tech.

Aj Tucker says:

Scotty, have you used the launch bi-directional scan tools? And if so what do you think about them

Count2Potato says:

I got a 2018 mazda and its awesome. Very high quality car.

Mambo says:

Scotty how do you get all this information and to put it together the way you did was just amazing and very interesting thank you!

Dbf Crell says:

Mazda 323 GLC. The GLC stood for "Great Little Car". Too bad it wasn't!

Uss JimmyCarter says:

We love our 2004 Mazda MX5 Miata Speed! What a joy to drive with the top down out on back country roads here in Central Minnesota! Now that we are retired, we don’t need to suffer rush hour! The 6 speed with a Turbo is wonderful! A four wheel drift around a gently sweeping corner! Perfect balance front and rear! It doesn’t get any better!
