Elliot says:

Thanks for posting the video. I tried it on my 2014 mazda3 but the speaker's back side is inaccessible because of the angle. It's smaller and on a differently shaped plastic mount. Do you know how I can access the back to reglue it?

Chad Stewart says:

Thanks for this video, Darius! I just had a pro install a new speaker to remedy this exact passenger-side problem and when I went to pick it up, the other side started rattling. Instead of bringing it back to them, I’m gonna do it myself with the help of this video, so thanks so much.

Works for Mazda 6 2010 GT speaker not working?

Slevin Kelevra says:

Probably the most detailed video I've come across. I have a mazda 6 Estate 2014 model and I'm experiencing this same problem. Funnily enough, it seems to make that same rattling noise as yours so I'm convinced it's the same issue. Eitherway I feel confident enough to try it myself. Many thanks again brother!

I have the same problem on my mazda 6 GT 2017, is it still holding good? Great video btw!

FretBuzz says:

Had the same problem, Its caused by the crappy paint on the basket rusting. My fix has now lasted 2 years. If you have to replace it then you may be able to wire a 2ohm sub in series with the tweeter. Good luck finding a 2ohm full range speaker that size. Its just to big for a normal full range speaker.
