Thank you so much for doing this video. I was able to successfully replace my battery in 45 minutes by following your instructions. I think the hair dryer to heat the iphone made a big difference in getting the case open and to help in removing the battery.

hi there i do not where to start lol.so this is what happened exactly one day my iphone 6s plus got heated up while it was on charging and few seconds later i saw the smoke coming out of my phone i got tripped because i was at hazared location and everything could have gotten fire due to this smoke so i quickly dropped water on it.Now since then its dead and i do not where to start to repair it i would like to try it at my own please advice like what should i change first maybe battery?

A tip to remove the pull tabs is to heat up the back then pull a little enough to hold it with your tweezers the roll the tweezers and pull a little and keep doing this and the pull tabs are less likely to break or it could break at the very end
I wouldn’t use tweezers to unplug the connectors specially the battery because you could short circuit something inside the phone
