I just did this upgrade myself, and it was a lot harder to do because the lens covers wouldn't go back over the projector (looks like you didn't face those problems at all). I had to bend the projector brackets significantly and adjust the lights to sit further back as much as possible in order to get the clearance necessary to be able to reinstall the lens covers. It took a while, but I was eventually able to get everything to fit properly. I guess this goes with the territory with bespoke hand made cars.
