@TristanTransgender hehe, did you read my full description of the video? it never was meant to represent the fastest you could do it – more likely the slowest. This was the first time I had ever removed the clam, so was trying to be as careful as possible – I figured this video would more likely to make people think “Well, if they can do it, anyone can”. 🙂

Nice work. A it too much work for me though. Let me know if you want a diffuser for your Elise. They fit with the tilting clam hinge mod. difflow dot com

Anx2k says:

hehe, more like you don’t want anything else in it. 🙂 It’s actually a great car, the best ‘exotic’ I’ve ever owned, super easy to work on and reliable.

I guess when you have a car like that , you cant afford anything else in your garage..

Awesome video & soundtrack. This is way beyond my mechanical skills. What is the soundtrack?

TurbohosesRD says:

It’s like Superman is doing the install! LOL!
Great way to show what is involved in the swap.

Anx2k says:

I believe he was working on something to relocate it by the charcoal canister – but that didn’t work for me because of the SC placement. It comes with a mount to use a much smaller battery, and that worked fine for me (holds it in place when tilted, battery is a sealed type). Most of the screws are replaced with hand screws so you can easily remove them. About 4 I think are no longer used, and 4 new big ones go into the trunk and screw into the frame (into existing holes).

richy120 says:

where does the battery go, and the wires for the lights. and how does it hold closed as there are six m6 bolts in side the clam at the rear of the seats there are four and up inside the air intakes there are 2? and what about the four bolts that hold it on around the air intakes. are these now not used?

wounsel says:

you sir, have a nice car

krispenev says:

awesome video…good work, looks like it turned out great and should make it much easier if you are planning on taking your car to the track and fine tuning rear suspension settings…amongst other things.

willc1976 says:

Great video. I wondered how involved this process becomes.
