I've almost completed stripping all the paint and primer/filler off my S4 using scrapers, more time consuming but the best way to do it. I left the bonnet/hood in place with a few rubber strips to stop it moving leaves you free to use both hands. Same with the boot lid and doors leave them in place while stripping it helps enormously. Good luck with the work. I hope you don't find the amount of damage on yours as I did on mine. Oh , and I used my wife's spare hairdryer to soften small areas for stripping.
