Does your dyno software have an acceleration correction feature? You are running very short runs and the amount of power going into accelerating the transmission, engine, wheels and rollers is substantial. If you try running it with an acceleration ramp with half the acceleration you will get a higher power, if there is no correction applied. As the acceleration is reduced the power will increase but with smaller and smaller increments. I am an engineer and years ago used to design dynos – that's why I am talking the technical shit! 🙂

Lots of people bagged out the RX8 for not having as much power as claimed. Mazda claimed 240 flywheel hp and people were getting about 180 wheel hp on the dyno. Although, in theory the lotus should lose less since it has a transaxle bolted directly to the engine, like a front wheel drive.
I would've guessed closer to 200 whp for the Exige, but 10 years of wear will take it's toll, not to mention ambient air temp/pressure/humidity. Also, are the tyres the correct type/ load rating and are the rear brake discs standard? Adding weight to the powertrain will sap some power.

I don't fit in alot of cars either- Mk2 Escort had a shit load of space. decided the only thing i fit in is an F100 with a bench seat.
