Great tip! Want to do all the hoses but the coolant is fresh & hoses surprisingly still decent. Would like to replace that original thermostat for sure at least soon. No issues in 113° this week at least.
I have a 2007 Lincoln MKZ, I have changed the thermostat, and temp sensor in the head. The car will sit and idle without the engine overheating, and will drive fine also, but out of the blue the temp will go up pretty fast, then the fail safe kicks in by shutting off some of the fuel injectors. The temp sensor I used to replace the head sensor was an O'Reilly sensor, could it be the issue? I think I have the coolant system full, I wonder about air pockets, and the water pump…
What coolant do you recommend for a 2018 f150 3.5 ecoboost im doing the water pump and thermostat there's to many options for the thermostat as well im not sure wich temperature is the right one any help will be highly appreciated Thank you…sorry for all the questions
Possible head gasket. Had that issue wasn't going out tail pipe wasn't losing any. Had a very small leak on head gasket it would over heat and then it would cool down and be fine for awhile. Then same thing again. Was to 2 shops no one could find it. Finally seen a few bubbles in the radiator. I narrowed it . Fixed head gasket. Done. Other side went poof right out tail pipe. Easy to find lol. 3.5 engine also
That looks like upside down version of 5.4 t stat, and maybe the 4.6? I don't remember. I saw an hvac guy do this with a shop vac and a half full heating oil tank. He took the fitting of the bottom of the tank! I shit you not, he lost a few drops. 33 year veteran hvac tech. There is no substitute for experience
Hello wondering if you can help with some guidance I have a 2017 explorer sport I had the recall done for the roof rails back in February since then there has been a update for the recall as you know but my vin done not fall under this I went back to the dealer that did the recall because because of the glue that was used it will expand lifting up the rails with the heat/sun and contract the rails back down during the evening but the rails do not come off they told me that there was nothing that can be done as the work was a recall and they did it as per the recall and the update is not for my car what do you recommend or is it just worth buying a hole new rail as it’s fully glued down And just doing the install as per the updated recall with the tree clips on the back side
Bro. That's an amazing trick that I will have to start using. I'm tired of getting coolant baths

I love this vid sir I'm having this problem right now ..
Awesome job. Explain things in straightforward manner, no bs and smart as a whip with the vacuum trick. This is how all mechanics need to operate!
2017 continental premier radiator leak after driving. But not complete drain.
Did this fix the problem?
Very interesting and smart
